Privacy Policy for PhlebPrep

PhlebPrep is published by Innovations App Lab ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the PhlebPrep iOS app.

The short version

PhlebPrep does not collect, sell or share any personal information. Your study progress stays on your device and, if you leave iCloud sync on, in your own private iCloud account. We can't see either one.

Information stored on your device

The app saves the following on your device, so your progress is there next time you open it:

• Quiz scores, the questions you've answered and the questions you missed
• Bookmarks and recently viewed items
• Saved draw orders and any "My lab" customizations you add
• Your exam date, study reminder time and other app preferences
• Draw timers you start
• Your stick log: the date, type, site, method, tube count, result, supervisor initials and any note you add for each collection you record. It never asks for patient information.
• The name, program and externship site you type for the stick-log sign-off sheet, which stay on this device only

Deleting the app deletes it. You can also clear your study progress any time in Settings → Reset study progress.

When you export the stick-log sign-off sheet, the PDF is created on your device and goes only where you choose to send or print it.

iCloud sync

If you're signed in to iCloud, PhlebPrep keeps the items above in sync across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. They are stored in your private iCloud database, which only your Apple Account can access. We have no access to it. Apple handles this data under Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn sync off in Settings → Sync with iCloud.

Notifications, widgets and Apple Watch

• Study reminders and draw-timer alerts are local notifications scheduled on your device. No notification server is involved and nothing is sent to us.
• The draw-timer Live Activity shows only the timer name and countdown on your Lock Screen. It never shows patient information.
• The Question of the Day widget stores today's answer on your device only.
• The Apple Watch app keeps its timer on the watch only.

Information we do not collect

• We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, health records or patient information.
• PhlebPrep contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software, and it doesn't use any third-party SDKs.
• PhlebPrep never asks you to enter patient information. Please don't enter patient-identifying information in any field.

Purchases

The PhlebPrep Pro upgrade is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple's handling of purchase information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Siri & Shortcuts

If you use the "Find a tube" shortcut, Apple processes your spoken request under its own privacy terms. PhlebPrep receives only the test name to look it up on your device and does not store it.

Children

PhlebPrep is an educational tool for healthcare students and professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no information from anyone.
